Coronation St. comes to Macclesfield

7 Jul

Bill Roache came to Macclesfield to open Deafness Support Network’s new centre – their recently refurbished building to support people who are d/Deaf in and around the Macclesfield area – and we were there to photograph the event.

Bill turned up in a top-of-the-range Jaguar loaned for the day from a local Jaguar dealer, met with invited people from the community, staff and dignitaries including the Mayor of Macclesfield. Bill then opened the centre with Aiden and Amber, two children who are Deaf, by cutting a ribbon. Bill then gave a short speech amidst a horrendous rain storm before having a quick tour of the offices and then taking the time to chat to everyone who was there and have more photographs taken.
