Bradford NHS Staff Awards

25 Jan

We are now into our third of four days filming the Bradford NHS Staff Awards video.

Over four days of filming we will be visiting 15 different services and projects across the District filming staff, service users and patients who have been nominated or who are nominating various individuals and teams for a variety of awards including respect, openness, excellence, working together and improvement.

Our job is to film interviews of all the nominees talking about their jobs and roles together with how hey feel about being nominated and how it would feel to win.

We’re also filming the nominators talking about why the person or team have been nominated to reflect the particular award category they’ve been nominated for.

Wazim (in photo) is one of the nominees for the ‘respect’ award for the work he does in a low security prison ward in creating superb facilities and organising events for people, of all faiths on the ward, carry out their own religious activities.  But all his nominators also spoke about his fabulous, considerate and generous personality every time he came to work.

We’ve then captured cut-away footage to reflect the interviews, person’s or team’s work to enhance the whole nomination process.

The videos are first shown to the judging panel as part of the judging process and then shown at the Staff Award event in March 2012.
